In addition to her work on stage and in radio, Beatrice Manley wrote three books on acting, two of which are in print, a series of original plays, a number of librettos, and a screenplay. Her books concentrate on body, breathing, and voice, and they are filled with many practical solutions to common acting problems: stagefright, what to do with your hands, articulation, vocal projection, authenticity of feeling, and how to prepare for auditions, to name but a few of the subjects she addresses.
